4 Simple Goals

that are easy to achieve

These goals are so easy to achieve

there's no way you can f4ck these up!

4 easy goals to help you break out of mobile device and social media addiction.

1. Post

Rather than post crap online that doesn’t enrich your life, ‘post’ to a journal. Write down your experience and thoughts so you can look back to see how you changed after reducing your mobile device and social media usage.

2. Share

Share more of yourself. You true inner self, not the Facebook Facade that everyone puts online. Share stories, thoughts, laughs and tears. Lift your head up and away from the screen to see the colour in life and the opportunities you missed when your head was stuck in a screen.

3. Like

Find things to like again. Good food, bushwalking, playing guitar, campfires, mountain biking, sex, yoga, meditation, cloud watching....you get the idea. Rather than pressing on a little ‘thumbs up’ icon, get real thumbs ups and shares from you know.... real people!

4. Facetime

Chances are you don’t see your friends nearly enough. Try making more friends and catch up with them more often. Drop in more, catch up for coffee more, hang out more and actually be in front of people to chat, share and like. Really try to ‘experience’ people - you can’t get that through a mobile device.

Kicking it old-school

I decided to write in a journal every day to record my thoughts. Later, I made it into this website hopefully to help and inspire others.

The Symptoms of A Mobile / Social Media Addict

If these sound like you, take the 30 day challange.

You use your mobile at the dinner table when sitting with guests or family

Feeling a buzz when a new email, notification or message comes in

You answer calls or look at messages when driving

Checking your phone for messages or notifications even if there’s no noise

You use your mobile on the toilet

A compulsion to check your phone constantly

Hearing a notification or text message and not being able to not check your mobile

Texting while having sex (yes, people have done it!)

You take your device in the shower

Freaking the f4ck out if you can’t find your mobile

Your phone is never more than 5 meters away from you at all times

Feeling phantom vibrations and notification noises

Looking at your screen when people are talking to you

Its the first thing and last thing you check in your day

You use it when you’re bored, angry, sad or tired

You suffer from depression or anxiety
